Photo of the Month – January 2017
Congratulations to Steve Oyer for winning the January Photo of the Month Contest
The photo was taken about 7:50AM, on November 15, the morning after the Super Moon. I was driving on Dierdorff Road east of Goshen and I noticed the moon going down in the west. I had been trying to get a good photo of Juniper Place on the Greencroft campus for a few weeks and decided the setting moon might make a nice backdrop. I stopped along the road and started shooting photos when the geese began to take off from the pond behind Juniper Place, so I waited for a nice cluster of geese over the moon and got a couple shots that I really liked.
My camera was a Canon EOS 6D with a 24-105 F/4 lens. The photo was taken at F/8, 1/100 sec., 100 ISO and a focal length of 92mm.
