Photo of the Month – August 2016

Congratulations to Kay Rhodes – winner of the Photo of the Month contest for August

 

This photo was taken on June 7th, 2016, in Stephen’s Pass near Juneau, Alaska. We were on a whale watching tour and while we did see quite a few whales (tails and backs), this scene showing a glacier between the mountains was one of my favorite photos from that day.  Our Alaskan adventure was unbelievably spectacular, especially for one who loves nature and photography. Not realizing it at the time, I even caught an eagle flying into my scene in the top left corner of the photo.
