January 2016 

I photographed this recently in a swing through northern New Mexico and southwest Colorado. Both states take pride in showcasing narrow-gage railroad history. It is an absolute delight to see these old trains in operation. This photo was not staged. It is precisely as it unfolded in front of me.

I photographed this at 18mm, f/8, 1/400 sec., ISO 200 using my Nikon 14-24mm lens which never lets me down.
